WINE & FOOD EVENT SERIES
PAIR LIKE A SOMM
Wednesday, April 28, 5pm PDT (join live or watch the recording)
Ever wonder why some foods pair so magnificently with wine – elevating your experience of both the food and wine – and other food and wine pairings just taste terrible? If so – you’re in for a treat when Somm and Wine Educator Reggie Daigneault teaches us to find molecular harmony with our wine and food pairings.
In February, Reggie taught us the neurology of taste and smell with a focus on aromatics. This month, she will talk about the foundations of food and wine pairing with a focus on the components of taste. Throughout the session, we will taste foods and wines and explore why they do or don’t taste great.
To register for the event, purchase an Event Kit containing the three class wines and a shelf-stable food bite to pair with each wine. You will also receive a list of pairing ideas for each wine so you may gather additional items to try during the class – or later, on your own.
This event will be 75 minutes long and we will reserve an extra 15 minutes at the end for questions.

Will you be in Walla Walla Spring Release Weekend?
Join us for a delicious start to your day! We have partnered with Hattaway’s on Alder to once again present a 4-course paired wine brunch to celebrate Walla Walla’s Spring Release. The event will begin with the first course – the 2020 Nana Jeanne Rose of Cabernet Franc paired with a chilled, cured salmon tartine with dressed greens and fresh herbs. Enjoy the first course while winemaker Tim Armstrong introduces the wines. Following the first course, a flight of the three remaining (warm) courses will be delivered to your private table, including:
2017 Fronk Cabernet Franc with mushrooms on toast, herbed cream cheese, soft boiled egg
2017 Boggie’s Blend, Cab-Syrah blend with shrimp & grits, charred tomatoes and barbecue butter with green onion
2016 David’s Folly, Cab-Petit Verdot blend with smoked pork hash, onion, bell pepper and Alabama white sauce
We will offer a seating at 10 am each morning. We hope you can join us!
