Tim Armstrong, Winemaker & Co-Owner
Part artist, part engineer, Tim is one of those rare technical people with an uncanny ability to understand how things work – and to communicate it to the rest of us. Tim has been a wine enthusiast since 1996 when he was blown away by a glass of wine served on a business trip. Fascinated by the fact that wine could provide such a memorable experience, he set out to learn more about how wine works and soon fell in love with the idea of crafting extraordinary wines of his own.
After more than a decade of wine collecting, research, and a variety of classes, he gained formal training through Washington State University’s Viticulture and Enology program. He also learned hands-on cellar working spending nights and weekends helping at other wineries in the Woodinville Warehouse District before taking the leap in 2011 with 6 tons of his own grapes – a vintage that would earn him Double Gold awards and launch Armstrong Family Winery. Since then, he has made dozens of wines with 90+ ratings from International Wine Reviewers, and has been awarded Best in Show and Best in Class in multiple regional competitions.
Tim is, as his Father-in-law likes to say, a purist. He has high standards and a commitment to purity of fruit, traditional methods and low intervention in the cellar. And that commitment comes through with every sip.

Jen Armstrong, Owner/General Manager
Jen is all about the people. She is passionate about helping people be present in their lives and loves the way great wine can help us pause, engage our senses, enjoy the moment, and share it with others. She brings a diverse background in coaching, writing, public relations, event planning, camp directing, and non-profit management to the winery to head up sales, events, Club and day to day operations. In any given day, you may find her pouring wines for a restaurant wine buyer, greeting guests, coordinating wine deliveries, hosting an event, attending a charity auction, or attending the girls’ soccer games and theater performances. Regardless, she’s excited to be on this life adventure with her family and invites guests to take a moment to pause, engage their senses, savor the moment, and share it with others… especially, with a glass of Armstrong in hand!

Audrey and Emily Armstrong, The Wild Angels
Wild at times but angels for sure, our daughters earned their nickname years ago – and it still holds true. Unlike their parents, they have grown up in the wine industry and have a good business sense at a young age! They are truly valuable members of the team – whether sorting fruit during harvest, helping to prepare for events, prepping food for paired tastings, serving at winemaker dinners, or working around the vineyard and farm. Already (somehow) in 9th and 11th grades, both are strong students who can often be found baking, dancing, sewing, playing soccer, singing, performing in theater, and caring for our animals.
And speaking of animals, the girls are pictured here with our two maremmas, Louis and Goldie. They are livestock guardian dogs… very friendly working dogs who live in our barn, watch over our sheep and chickens, and generally keep an eye on “their” farm.

Trevor Ward, Business Manager
As much as we’d like to just make wine and share it with people who love it, there’s a bit more to this business. That’s why we’re so grateful to have Trevor on the team. A farmer and home winemaker himself, and a veteran of the Walla Walla wine industry in both the front and back of the house, Trevor keeps the necessary business of the business organized, tracked, reported and handled. His attention to detail, common sense approach, industry insight, and dry sense of humor make him an invaluable part of our team. He’s not one for pictures, but one of the geese on his farm is!
Trevor Ward can be contacted at accounting@armstrongwinery.com.
Brenna Lofquist, Customer Service/Walla Walla Hospitality
Brenna does it all… from guest tastings and marketing, to tasting room prep and farm sitting when we’re away. She’s often the one with the info when you contact info@armstrongwinery.com, and she’s the one booking reservations, assisting guests with orders and updating shipping and account information. With her friendly and relaxed demeaner, great organizational skills, and genuine interest in all things wine and food, Brenna is an integral part of our team!

Dorina, Lisa, Ruth, Lisa and Jessi, Woodinville Tasting Room Team
We are so grateful to the ladies of our Woodinville Tasting Room team. Each has been with us for more than 5 years as staff, or Club Members or both. In fact, they bring more than 35 years of Armstrong Family Winery experience to our Woodinville Tasting Room… important since we live across the state. These friendly, talented women are lovely hosts, knowledgeable wine enthusiasts, and ideal representatives for our family business. They are from left to right:
Dorina McKnight is a Woodinville tasting room pro who keeps us all in line with a smile and a wink.
Lisa Armstrong managed our tasting room for years and now assists with outside sales and events, deliveries and occasional tastings.
Ruth Gardner has been delighting our Woodinville tasting room guests since 2017 and serves as our liaison in the Woodinville community and chief tasting room organizer.
Lisa MacMillan, who often gets mistaken for Jen, helps us with outside events and special events in the tasting room.
Jessi Callahan is a long-time club member and our newest member of our tasting room team.
